Bill Moeller, age 82, passed away on August 26, 2020, surrounded by family in Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, for immediate family at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with Pastor Kelsey Fitting-Snyder officiating. Livestreaming will be available from Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home website. Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, in the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. in Waco. Social distancing and masks will be required. Bill was born in Buckholts, Texas, on September 21, 1937. He was the third son born to Viola and Frank Moeller. Bill attended school in Rogers, Texas, until 1945 when the family moved to Bosqueville, Texas, where he attended elementary and junior high. Bill graduated from University High School in 1956, where he enjoyed playing football and baseball. He continued to play city league softball, retiring at age 56 from the sport. He always joked that he could run just as fast as the younger guys. Bill married the love of his life, Jean Fischer, July 8, 1961, at Christ American Lutheran Church in Waco, and they celebrated 59 years of marriage this past July. He took college business courses and went right to work for Citizen’s National Bank. In 1966, he became one of the computer programmers for the Citizen’s National Bank and was a faithful employee for over 30 years. He began work for American Income Life as a computer programmer in 1996, and he retired from that establishment after 17 years of service. Bill coached Pop Warner Football, Little League baseball, and teenage baseball. Bill was a Little League referee in Southern and Northern Little Leagues, and he served as Northern Little League’s President. Bill was a member of the Waco Jaycees where he enjoyed working on numerous projects, and he served as president from 1971-72. He was a member of the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO) for 25 years, working numerous playoff football games during his career. He retired from officiating on the field in 2000, but stayed involved by running the video scoreboard for 483 games at the Waco ISD Stadium starting in 2001. He has been a member of the Texas Clogging Council and the Brazos Valley Cloggers since the early 80s, and he was the chair for the TCC Rally in 1991 and 2017. Bill and his good friend, Ron Hodge from Houston, were the organizers of the Double Toe Jam clogging workshop, originally called The Workshop. He was currently serving on the Allemande Hall Board of Trustees as Treasurer, Finance Committee of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, and Treasurer of the Texas Clogging Council Scholarship Committee. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Frank Moeller; in-laws, Edna and J. T. Fischer; two brothers, George and Arthur Moeller; and son-in-law, Robert Masters, Jr. Bill is survived by his wife, Jean Moeller; two children, Terry Moeller from Navasota and Denise Masters from Waco; two grandsons, Josh Phillips from Waco and Brad Moeller from Hewitt; two brothers, Homer Moeller and wife, Madelyn, from North Carolina, and Dick Moeller and wife, Joyce, from Austin; nieces Karen, Missy, Vickie, Cindy, Melissa, and Meredith; nephews, Butch, Kyle, Lesley, and Derek; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Josh Phillips, Brad Moeller, Kyle Moeller, Larry Thornton, Larry Weeks, Dalbert Thiele, Derek Moeller and Henry Carbajal. Memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 800 N.
