William "Bill" Wuebker October 10, 1926 - September 23, 2012 William Herbert Bill Wuebker passed away on September 23, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 27, at St. John United Church of Christ in Robinson with burial in Robinson Cemetery. A visitation with the family is 6:00 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Bill was born on October 10, 1926 in the Rosenthal/Robinson community to August and Helena Hahn Wuebker. He was a lifelong resident of the Robinson community, attending Rosenthal School, graduating from Waco High School in 1944. He received his Certificate of Completion in Business Administration in 1950. Bill entered the automobile business in 1950 and served 41 years in Oldsmobile and Cadillac sales with Rountree Motors. He married Virginia Blume Wuebker on August 21, 1954 and they have lived in Robinson all their married lives. Bill raised Hereford cattle, enjoyed yard work and gardening. He was Chaplain of the Robinson Chamber of Commerce, served on the Robinson City Council and Economic Development Board, was past President of the Robinson Cemetery Association, on the Castleman Creek Association Board of Directors and an active Member of St. John United Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; daughter, Dr. Robin Battershell and husband, Dr. Brian Battershell of Belton; daughter, Bonnie Wuebker of Houston; and son, Cardinal Wuebker of Hewitt; grandchildren include Daniel Battershell of Waco, Christopher Battershell of San Marcos, Dr. Lauren Ridley and husband, Brian of Houston, Raven Wuebker of Lorena and Breanna Wuebker of Hewitt. Memorials in his honor may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, 100 S. Robinson Dr., Robinson, TX 76706 or the Robinson Cemetery Association, 620 East Stegall Rd., Robinson, TX 76706.
