William Clifford Copeland, Jr. May 9, 1921 - March 6, 2012 William Clifford Copeland, Jr. of Temple, formerly of Waco, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 10, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Pastor Ryan Kiplinger officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Bill was born May 9, 1921 in Hallsburg, Texas to William and Zoe Copeland, Sr. He served in China, Central Burma India, earning the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars, the Distinguished Unit Badge and WWII Victory Medal while in the U.S. Air Force; and he retired after 30 years as a postal carrier. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Evelyn Marie Martin Copeland in 2010. He is survived by his son, William Lynn Copeland, Sr.; his daughters, Diane Mitchell and husband, Harold; Megan Joachim and husband, Mike; grandchildren, William Copeland, Jr, Todd Copeland and wife, Michelle; Neeley Talley and husband, Jim; Lindsey Kocsis and husband, Mike; Crystal Copeland and Jared Potts; great grandchildren, Hayden Maddux, Kayla Howard, Trenton Steele, Allie Copeland, Izabel Talley and Kathrine Talley; sisters, Nell Hawkins of Waco, and Jennie Jantz of Speegleville; and nieces and nephews.
