William D. Bill Garrison

November 5, 1905 — January 10, 2002

GARRISON, WILLIAM D. BILL William D. Bill Garrison, age 96, of Waco died Thursday, January 10, 2002 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 1:30PM Monday, January 14 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 5:00-7:00PM Sunday, January 13 at the funeral home. Mr. Garrison was born November 5, 1905 in Rowlett, where he was reared and educated. He had been a resident of Waco over 50 years. He married Gertrude Trudy Alberts July 15, 1926. She preceded him in death November 9, 1995. He was employed by U.S. Uniroyal Rubber Co. for over 40 years. After retirement, he worked for Lewis Shoes for 17 years. He attended a computer class at MCC at age 91 making him the oldest student at MCC. Mr. Garrison was a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, card games and family. Survivors include daughters; Euna Vay Schween of Mesquite, Billie J. Thibodeau of Waco, grandchildren; John Schween, Jr., Michael Schween, Adeena S. Davidson, Janeen S. Pier, Tom Thibodeau, Janice Thibodeau, and Randy Thibodeau, nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and sister; Ouita Cook of Fort Worth. Memorials may be made to Columbus Ave. Baptist Church. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
