William Everett Cox

July 11, 1905 — June 22, 2001

WILLIAM EVERETT COX, age 95 of Waco, passed away in Glen Rose, TX on June 22, 2001. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 29th at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Ivan Ker and Rev. James Adams officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-7:30 PM Thursday, June 28th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Reverend Cox was born July 11, 1905 in the Arizona Territory outside Phoenix. He married Elva Jane Hager on March 28, 1931 in Corpus Christi. They were married for 65 years. They moved to Waco in June 1947. Reverend Cox was an ordained Baptist minister, having been an evangelist and pastor of Parkview Baptist Church until his retirement. His wife preceded him in death. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Walter and Peggy Cox of Granbury; his daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Tom Jobe of Herndon, VA; five grandchildren: Karen Holman of Red Oak, Kimberly Mausteller of PA, Kevin Cox of Cedar Hill, Kelly Jobe of Fort Worth and Katherine Hairston of Weatherford; three great grandchildren: Brent Holman, Hanna Mausteller and Sasha Cox; and a sister Mildred Johnson of Virginia. Memorials may be made to Parkview Baptist Church. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
