At the age of 2, he moved with his family to Idabel, Oklahoma. He was baptized into the Church of our dear Savior when he was 12. He attended school in Idabel until graduation with perfect attendance. He played baseball and football as a youngster. He played the tuba in the Idabel junior and high school bands, and sang in the chorus. He graduated in 1990 and enrolled in Harding University. While there, he joined the acapella singing group Soul and toured all over the United States. After graduation, he served as a youth minister for a few years. During this time his son Hayden Tyrus was born, the best thing that ever happened to Mark. In 1995 he moved back to Idabel, where he started working with his dad in Hogan's True Value. Five years later he moved to Waco, where he worked at Bird-Kultgen Ford for a few years. Since then, he has had a career working offshore operating Remote Operation Vehicles. This was a job he loved. It took him literally all over the world. Most recently, he had been living in Waco working at Versalift as an electrician. He loved to sing and singing with the Praise Team at Crestview Church of Christ. He was scheduled to sing tenor this past Sunday. He is singing with the angels now...can you hear him! He is survived by his son, Hayden Tyrus Hogan of Mobile, Alabama; his parents, Vern and Joyce Hogan of Waco; his sister and her husband, Randy and Melanie Pratt of Rockwall, Texas; and last but not least, his two nieces, Chloe Holland of Rockwall and Darbie Holland of Arlington, Texas.
