William Mccaig Bryant

William McCaig Bryant of Woodway passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Donnell officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour before the service. William was born June 28, 1930, in Hubbard, Texas, to Roy Jackson and Ida Bell Bryant. He graduated from Waco High School in 1950 and served in the Texas National Guard. He married Betty Arlene Bryant on December 19, 1959, and resided in Woodway most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the IBEW and Local 72 Electrical Union and was a Master Electrician. William was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Arlene Bryant; his brother, Jim Bryant; and a nephew, James Edward Bryant, Jr. He is survived by his son, Russell Bryant and fiancée, Tammie George; and daughter, Christy Dawson and husband, Wes, of McGregor, Texas; six grandchildren, Roxanne Jones, Rachael Bryant, Eric Nye and wife, Devon, Alissa Cady and husband, Chris, Courtney Wood and husband, Jack, and J.W. Dawson; five great-grandchildren, Christian, Knox and Kennedy Cady, and Jace and Josslyn Nye; and sister, Tana Sharp and children, Joel and Larissa. Pallbearers are Russell Bryant, Wes Dawson, Shawn Mason, Dennis Neill, Eric Nye and Chris Cady. The family invites you to leave a message or memory on our “Tribute Wall” at www.WHBfamily.com.
