Willie Clark McMullan Willie Clark McMullan of Waco passed away peacefully at Stillwell Retirement Center Monday, August 4, 2008. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Willie was born in Pittsburg, Texas, the 6th of 9 children of Osceola and Virginia Clark. After graduating high school she entered Baylor University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1937. Soon after graduation, she married Robert Smith McMullan from Corsicana. Mr. McMullan preceded her in death in 1962. Willie was a proud member of First United Methodist Church of Waco and a life-long Republican. Willie served hundreds of children as an elementary school teacher in Edna, Luling, Victoria and Tyler, Texas, before retiring and moving to Waco in 1971. From 2006-08 she volunteered as a reading aide at Hillcrest Professional Development School. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven siblings, one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughter, Bob Anne Senter and husband, David of Waco; grandson, Bob Senter and wife, Jenny; granddaughter, Lindsey Senter Burns and husband, Matt; four greatly loved great-grandchildren, Clark Senter; Parker, Cullen and Molly Kate Burns; special friend, Mary Senter; one sister, Janie Haygood; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Ronald Clark Auvenshine, William Robert Auvenshine, Matt Burns, Karl Meek, Gene Ondrusek, Bill Pate, Bob Senter, Phillip Swanson and Milton Wilson. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Waco or the charity or your choice.
