OBITUARY FOR WILLIE E. NELSON Willie E. Nelson, 83, of Waco, passed away November 29, 2001 at a local nursing Home. Services will be at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, December 1, 2001 at Wilkirson- Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, 1124 Washington, with Dr. Randy Hughes officiating. Burial at Gholson Cemetery. Willie was born August 7, 1918 in Scranton, Arkansas to Robert E. Nelson & Olive Nelson. They moved to Wister, OK where he attended school, graduating in 1939. He enlisted in the Air Force during WWII and was discharged in 1946. He married Sybil H. Heidel on November 23, 1940 in San Antonio. After his discharge from the service, he went to work for Cameron Company where he worked for 30 years. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Melissa Burns, his parents, two brothers, Tommie Nelson and John R. Nelson, and a sister, Louise Johnson. Survivors: Wife: Sybil H. Nelson Daughter: Sue N. Rich and husband Jim Son: Wayne E. Nelson & wife Wendy Grandchildren: Mike Roberts, Jimmy Rich, Brian Roberts, Larry Rich and Robyn Mills Twelve Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandson Pallbearers: Mike Roberts, Brian Roberts, Jimmy Rich, Keith Mills, Tony Jezek and Jimmy Dixon Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
