MILLER, WILLIE MAE GIRARD Willie Mae Girard Miller, age 77 of Waco died Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at a local nursing facility. Graveside services will be held at 11am Saturday, August 23 at Waco Memorial North with Rev. Mark A. Ray officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Friday, August 22 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Miller was born in West August 14, 1926 to Joe J. and Mary Adams Girard. She married Walter D. Miller, Jr. July 6, 1946. She operated the restaurant in Goldstein-Migel in downtown Waco. In 1978, she and her husband opened Jess Radle and The Miller Family Steak House. Then in 1983 they opened The Miller Family Steak House on the river, she retired in 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Marion Miller. Survivors include husband, Walter D. Miller, Jr. of China Spring; sons, Tommy Miller of Waco, Johnny Miller of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Larry Miller of Dallas; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sister, Evelyn Belpek of West, and brother, Ernest Girard of Midlothian. Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Family Practice Center, 1600 Providence Dr., Waco, TX 76706, ATTN: C.
