Wilma Ruth Paulson February 22, 1936-December 19, 2020 Wilma Ruth Paulson, 84, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 26, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m., following visitation with Chaplain Manuel Henriquez officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Wilma was born February 22, 1936, in Birome, Texas, to Bud and Mary Elizabeth Spence. She attended Birome, Penelope and Gholson schools. She worked at Cox’s and Goldstein Miguel’s before marrying Lloyd J Paulson on December 14, 1957. Thereafter, she was a homemaker and sitter, carrying for many people in the Waco and Robinson community. She and Lloyd also fostered children for numerous years. Both were members of the Waco Gem and Mineral Club where they enjoyed rock hunting across Texas, bringing back all types of rocks and gemstones, often used in creating her rock gardens and for jewelry making. She enjoyed dominos and oil painting, creating her own beautiful pieces. She had a passion for Christian and Classic Western music, often listening as she studied her Bible. She attended Silver Maple Church in Robinson, until she was no longer able but continued her worship of her Lord through music and television worship. She was preceded in death by infant sister, Mary Elizabeth; both parents; and husband, Lloyd J. Paulson. She is survived by son, William Lloyd Paulson of Waco; daughters, Wanda Schlemmer and husband, Robert, of Mart, and Darlene Paulson of Waco; granddaughters, Chelsea Anderau and husband, Curtis, of Robinson, Taylor Campbell and fiancé, Stephen Runkel, of Hillsboro, Sierra Montgomery of Waco with significant other, John Newton, and Brianna Montgomery of Waco; grandson, Gage Montgomery of Waco; great grandchildren, Kayla Anderau, Katelyn Anderau, Jayden Neither, Kinley Anderau, Taytum Campbell, Kasen Anderau, Riley Runkel, and baby Brooklyn Newton arriving April 2021; sister, Janice Cunningham and husband, Larry Sapp, of West, brothers, Billy Joe Spence and David Spence and wife, Linda, of Ross; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Joe Spence, David Spence, and Larry Sapp. Pallbearers are Curtis Anderau, Alex Cruz, Diego Gutierrez, John Luna, John Newton, Stephen Runkel, Robert Schlemmer, and DJ Spence. Family would like to thank Brookdale Lakeshore, Kindred Hospice, Baylor S&W HBMC staff and Hospice Care for the compassion, love, care and support provided during her time of illness.
