Winnie Faye Marks Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, WINNIE FAYE MARKS Winnie Faye Marks Montgomery, 79, of Waco died Monday, May 5, 2003 at a local nursing home. Services will be held at 1pm Thursday, May 8 at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with Minister Lon Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, May 7 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Montgomery was born November 15, 1923 in Rogers, Texas to Silas and Roxie Sloan Marks. She graduated from Rogers High School. She married Edward N. Monty Montgomery September 6, 1942 in Waco. He preceded her in death February 13, 1994. She was also preceded by her parents, two brothers, Clinton and Lionel Marks and her sister, Vivian Dodd. Mrs. Montgomery was a medical office assistant for Drs. Reese, Roche and Shipp. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ in Waco. Survivors include daughter, Darlene Kyser and husband, Don of Waco; son, Donald N. Montgomery and wife, Jean of Henderson; grandchildren, Kevin, Kyser and wife, Richi of Frisco, Keith Kyser and wife, Sheila of Carrollton, Meredith and Dusty Montgomery of Henderson; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Chandler and Max Kyser; brother, J.W. Marks and wife, Doris of Kerrville; brother-in-law, Wilburn Dodd of Waco; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Smithlawn Maternity Home, P.O. Box 6451, Lubbock, TX 79413.
