Wyatt Michael Alexander

April 20, 2010 — June 15, 2021

Wyatt Michael Alexander peacefully passed away at home on June 15, 2021 as he and his Pappy were resting together and watching an old western movie for one last time. The funeral will be at graveside, 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17 at White Rock Cemetery (2533 Ross Road, Elm Mott, TX 76640). Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16. Wyatt was born in Tomball, Texas on April 20, 2010 to Melanie Jane Alexander and Brian Christopher Lee. Wyatt was a sweet, beautiful boy who was loved by many. Though Wyatt endured many struggles in his brief time on earth, he was always brave and happy. Wyatt loved to laugh and loved to be held. Wyatt was the best cuddle bug. He enjoyed watching the ceiling fan, music (especially during his OT sessions with Ms. Holly and “Eye of the Tiger”), sparkling, colorful lights, and all types of movement. Wyatt was the best secret keeper and shoulder to lean on when you were sad. Wyatt’s MISD teacher, Mrs. Nancy, made sure Wyatt always made us special projects for all occasions.. Ms. Julie was always cheerful even when Wyatt tried to dodge his speech lessons! Ms. Maria and Ms. Brittany coached a sometimes reluctant Wyatt through his physical therapies! We cannot leave out Ms. Jenn who introduced Wyatt to his lifetime favorite app, ABC Mouse A to Z music videos! Wyatt’s cCMV story started at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston under the love and care of Dr. Gail Demmler-Harrison who was Wyatt’s first champion. Wyatt’s cCMV story was told frequently in a hope to make expectant mommies aware and keep unborn babies healthy from a very common virus. Thank you Dr. Bierwirth. Dr. Sagar, Dr. Bhattarai , Dr. Barad, NP Prater, and Dr. Albers. Thank you to so many who have loved and cared for Wyatt over the years, but most of all to his best friend and nurse, Cynthia York Hawkins. Wyatt is preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Ruby Grier Alexander and Peggy Dunleavy Crozier and great grandfather, Frank F. Crozier. Survivors include his father, Brian Lee; mother, Melanie Alexander-Young and bonus father, Darren Young; siblings Dayle and Kyleigh Young; grandparents, MaryBeth and Wayne Alexander, Leola and Wayne Young, Shelle Cagle, and Michael Lee; great-grandfather Stephen H. Alexander and great-grandparents Peggy and Norm Peterson; uncle, Stephen Alexander, his wife Vanessa and cousins Sophia, Anthony and Payton; uncle Jonathan Alexander, wife Courtney and cousins Cash and Scarlette; Aunt Nicci Ayers, husband Aaron and cousins Finn and Link; aunt, Megan Stockton, uncle, Jared Lee, his wife Emily and cousin Harrison; uncle Shawn Lee, and cousins Ryan and Tatum.
