BARTON, WYNAMA Wynama “Nama” Barton, 81, died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at a Lake Jackson nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 11am Wednesday, June 9 at Rosemound Cemetery, 12th St. and Garden Dr. with the Rev. Mark Wible officiating. Nama was born February 4, 1923 in Waco to I. N. and Ellie Beauchamp. She lived in Waco 60 years but had lived the past three years in Lake Jackson, Texas near her daughter and family. While living in Waco, Nama attended Highland Baptist Church and was active in the Art Guild and China Painter’s Guild and, at one time, was a “Pink Lady” at Hillcrest Hospital. She was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Beauchamp, and sisters, Nevada “Lady” Diamond of Waco, Wanda Beauchamp of Waco and Elsie Creel of Anson, Texas. Survivors include son, Rick Barton of Austin; daughter, Connie Shandley from Lake Jackson; grandchildren, Shelley Barton of Austin, Kelley Barton of Washington, D.C., Dr. Brian Shandley of Lake Jackson, and Sheri Sheehan of Pearland and great grandchildren, Darrin, Mason, Logan and Reagan Shandley of Lake Jackson and Cole and Savanna Sheehan of Pearland.
