Yvonna Niswanger, 85, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021, at Town Hall Estates in Keene, Texas. Graveside services will be held August 12, at 10:00 AM, at Oakwood Cemetery (2124 S 5th St, Waco, TX 76706). Yvonna was born October 25, 1935, near Osceola, to John Franklin and Roxie Mae (Swofford) Pidcock. She attended and graduated from Itasca High School. She married Billy Wayne Niswanger on August 6, 1955, in Waco. Yvonna was employed as a key punch operator for several years at Citizens National Bank. Her hobbies included watching the Dallas Cowboys, gardening, and baking. She enjoyed receiving photos of her family and would show everyone her adorable great-grandson’s latest picture. Yvonna was preceded in death by her husband, Billy W. Niswanger; and her parents, John F. and Roxie M. Pidcock She is survived by her daughter, Pam Tennery and husband, Frank Tennery of Alvarado; sister Fay and brother-in-law Pat Hernandez, of Waco; grandsons, Vernon “Chip” and wife, Mandi Wood of Clearfield, Utah, Devin Wood of Elm Mott, Jason and wife, Alyisa Wood of Axtell; great-grandchildren, Colt Wood of Axtell, Tannor, Tristyn, and Aspen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family is especially thankful to Susie Davis who was a loving roommate and friend. The family would like to say a special thanks to Town Hall Estates and Elara Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to her during this critical time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to your charity of choice.
