Zella Elizabeth Betty Grauer

GRAUER, BETTY Zella Elizabeth Betty Grauer, age 92 of Waco died Thursday, April 15, 2004 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 10am Monday, April 19 at Oakwood Cemetery with The Rev. Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6pm Sunday, April 18 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mrs. Grauer was born December 6, 1911 in Monmouth, Illinois and raised by foster parents. She attended primary and secondary schools in Wisconsin and attended Monmouth College. She married Albert Raymond Grauer January 18, 1936 in Evanston, Illinois; he preceded her in death March 23, 2004. She moved to Waco in 1950. She began her employment with Tom Padgitt Company in 1965 and worked there for many years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lake Oaks Country Club and Texas Farm Bureau. Survivors include nephew, Dr. Keith Young and wife, Barbara of Aurora, Illinois; and longtime friend and caregiver, Mrs. B. M. Chic Norcross.
